Even when everything goes wrong and pain weighs heavily, the spiritual journey continues. Making mistakes is not the end; it is part of the path for those who are still learning to begin again with faith.
Between mistakes, longing, and faith: the path of those who do not give up

Sometimes something does not turn out as expected… and then comes that overwhelming disappointment. A gira in which you did not actively participate, or did not act as you would have liked. And suddenly, life feels like burnt rice.
Sometimes spiritual life is like that: like rice that has burned on the bottom of the pan. You tried to get it right, but something slipped out of your control. At other times, it is like water that boiled dry without warning, and all you can do is accept it and move on.
And often, we do not realize that we need to renew ourselves with greater purpose and find inner peace again.
It is not only about great tragedies. The little stumbles of everyday life accumulate and wear us down without our noticing.
A love that did not work out. A project that failed. A final farewell. A gira in which you feel you could have done better. The longing that tightens your chest at night, reminding you of what might have been if we had been more humble.
Over time, our good qualities seem to disappear into routine, while our faults speak loudly, in others and in ourselves.
And still, we must continue. Not out of stubbornness, but out of faith.
Moving forward, even in pieces, is a way of loving life. Singing, even out of tune, is an act of resistance. It is a choice.
There is a time to suffer, yes. To mourn losses, to feel longing, including when you have drifted away from your terreiro.
But there is also a time to look at yourself with tenderness and say:
“I did the best I could.”
And that is enough.
Every mistake, every new beginning, every tear shed in silence is part of our spiritual journey. No step is in vain. Everything is changing, even when it seems still.
Pain does not define us. Failure is not the end. Longing does not paralyze us. Grief teaches us.
And love… love never dies. It renews itself, takes shape, and multiplies in new forms of care, new paths, and new days.
Today, perhaps you are not where you would like to be. But you are here. And that alone is an everyday miracle.
May we never lack the courage to try again. May we never abandon mediumship because of a moment of weariness, a mistake, or a loss of direction.
Even with fear. Even with pain.
Because despite everything, there is still so much to experience in this life of mediumship. And it knows how to welcome and forgive those who acknowledge their faults and choose to return to the path of goodness, alongside their guides of light.
Sometimes we need to rise again from the ashes. We need to rebuild ourselves with determination in what we believe to be our spiritual mission as mediums.
To you who think it is all over, I say: there will always be another chance.
The spiritual world believes in your ability to change. It believes in your ability to begin again. And it knows that moving forward is worthwhile.
